HABK 3:17-19 17 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls,
18 Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.
Why is that when we fail we blame it on God? ‘God made me not good enough’…. ‘why did You allow these?’, ‘why me Lord’. This words often come out of many Christians who have hit it hard in life and lost all hope. It’s true that we all want things to go well in our lives, but in reality that’s not always the case. We face challenges in this world especially us who are the vessels of the Gospel of Christ. We must know that when we are born of Christ, we ultimately become foreigners to this world. It never liked Christ, how can it be gently to His offspring? Our joy comes from the fact that He is with us, it’s beyond the feeling you feel when you are lost and immediately see civilization. God will not allow you to suffer alone, He suffers with you. His spirit dwells in you, don’t you think that He can feel that pain too? If a father of a child on this earth feels pain and even cries when he sees his child on deathbed, struggling for every breath. How much more Him who couldn’t tolerate that you will forever be tormented in hell and sent His son to redeem our sin.
praise Him, and love Him.
